We are a leading provider of Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) treatment for depression and depression-related conditions in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

What is rTMS?

rTMS is a non-invasive treatment that uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain, targeting areas involved with mood control and depression.

The equipment used in rTMS is FDA-cleared to treat certain types of depression, and in 2016, TRICARE approved coverage for rTMS therapy to treat adults with Major Depressive Disorder. Brainwaves Neuro Restoration Center is proud to bring this breakthrough technology to the area.

TRICARE offers our military personnel, veterans, and their families comprehensive healthcare coverage. Our clinic accepts the following:

TRICARE for active-duty service members, retirees, and their family members.
TRICARE East/Humana Military (VA Community Care Network) for veterans and certain National Guard and Reserves members.
TRICARE For Life (Not Currently offered – Coming Summer 2026!)

To be eligible for rTMS therapy covered by TRICARE, you must:

Be 18 years or older.
Have a diagnosis of major depressive disorder.
Have failed with depression medications
Haven’t responded to a less intensive form of treatment, or have tried other less intensive treatments that were not successful or suitable.

If you meet these criteria, have you previously considered rTMS therapy?

TRICARE is available to the beneficiaries in any of the eight US uniformed services:

Army
Navy
Air Force
Marine Corps
Coast Guard
Space Force
Commissioned Corps of the US Public Health Service
Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

TRICARE-eligible beneficiaries may include:

Active-Duty Service Members (ADSM) and their families
Retired service members and their families
National Guard and Reserve members and their families
Survivors, certain former spouses, and others
