STEP 1

Record EEG

We conduct an eyes-closed ten minute quantitative electroencephalogram (qEEG) and an electrocardiogram (EKG) that measure brain wave frequencies, heart rate and brain-heart coherence. Our team at the Wave Neuro lab analyze the results to better understand your unique brain wave pattern.

STEP 2

EEG Analysis & Review

We use a patented approach with your neurophysiological data to develop a customized treatment plan that aims to encourage healthy brain communication. Your results are reviewed and analyzed by the lab at Wave Neuro. The suggested treatment protocol is then provided to our physician to review with you.

WaveNeuro developed the technology behind MeRT^® and obtained a patent for the pairing of EEG diagnostics with TMS treatment. The team and technology at WaveNeuro powers Brainwaves Neuro Restoration Center.

STEP 3

Treatment

While sitting comfortably, a trained technician will position the magnetic coil on your head. This coil will deliver your individualized treatment protocol to the targeted region of the brain. The technician applies stimulation for 5 seconds per minute. Appointments typically last around 45 minutes, with stimulation occurring every 30-45 seconds.

STEP 4

Progress Evaluation

We take sequential qEEG and EKG recordings every 10 treatments to monitor progress. The results are provided to WaveNeuro to make any necessary modifications to your treatment protocol. This ensures we are always taking the best approach based on how your brain waves are changing. A typical course of MeRT^® varies depending on the person and the condition. The average length of a full course of treatment ranges between 4-6 weeks, Monday through Friday.

MeRT^®, which stands for Magnetic EEG/EKG -Guided Resonance Therapy, is a highly customized use of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation or TMS, based on sophisticated diagnostics. It is a non-invasive, painless, and drug-free option for the treatment of a wide range of conditions.

MeRT^® protocols start with a quantitative electroencephalogram (qEEG). The qEEG allows us to see patterns of dysfunction in the brain which are related to varying disorders, such as learning and behavioral issues, emotional disorders, brain injury, and others. The qEEG done on each patient provides us with a personalized protocol that guides each individually tailored treatment.
